was this more difficult for you to do than your canvas paintings, in terms of either technique or inspiration?

i've seen so much stunning art on the kidrobot stuff, but feel like if i sat down to actually come up with something i'd have an extremely difficult time figuring out how to take this or that shape and make it my own, how to play to its strengths, and so forth.

this guy looks great, but if you put it in a lineup with other good designs, i feel like i'd have a hard time pointing to it and saying, "that one. that's jasinski."

i do love to see your work stretching in different ways. perhaps even just using a canvas which isn't a standard size like 18"x24" feels refreshing to you. it is nice from my side of things.

Good feedback Phil. Yes, it was a challenge in terms of it being so small. (only 3 inches high). I haven't done many toys and probably need to do a bunch more to feel entirely comfortable; to make them feel more uniquely my 'style' as it were.

awesome, why dont people leave some comments? they just FAV and out. They're so impolite, if they like it, they must have sth to say.

Because sometimes we're busy? Or we're so tired or uninspired, we don't have much else to say other than "COOL!" and figure such a bland comment is worse than no comment at all, esp for a popular artist who has to deal with a lot of comments? Or because sometimes art moves us in a way that is difficult to express in words? Or because they just don't feel like it? Also, not everyone on DA speaks the same language as the artists they like. There's nothing rude about it, it's just different strokes for different folks. :peace:
