LAHV-F Brush Fire by Jarndahusky LAHV-F Brush Fire by Jarndahusky
This is the finished product. The Low Altitude Hyper Velocity Fighter Code named Brush Fire.

All the textures and such are in place, and she doesn't look all that bad. ^.^ Woo!

The Large pods on the sides are Strafing drives. They allow the craft to move side to side. The smaller ports that are around the exterior rim of the strafe drives are the maneuver drives. They allow a high degree of maneuverability for the vehicle.

Weaponry on the craft are as follows:

4 linked cannons
2 duel 2D plasma turrets
2 fixed plasma cannons
2 bomb hard points
15 missile hard points

The plasma weaponry leak plasma off of the drive flow, and is accelerated through a set of magnetic rings. This creates a burst stream of plasma energy. They can also be used to act as auxiliary maneuver drives. The forward fixed plasma cannons would act as retro thrusters, and the 2D turrets can act as bow mounted rotatable maneuver drives further enhancing the maneuvering capabilities of the craft.

That's about it for right now. Enjoy ^.^

Hey cool man!! Look's damn good. Rhino is just as good as 3ds max.. you just need to work on your textures a little and you need to get their Flamingo render add on. It will totally help your renders out with raytracing and radiosity. If you like rhino.. stick with it. There is no such thing as a better 3d program to someone that loves the one they use. I know with a little time and effort and a purchase of a better render add on you'll be making some excellent stuff! ;) Very cool model BTW. :D

Wow man, it came out extremely nice, compared to what I saw before from you, this has been a great leap for you! Congratulations..

What I suggest you do now is study the types of rendering and how you can help them achieve a more realistic feel to them... Your model is great, but the way your program renders takes away most of its glory... Perhaps you should consider into looking into other programs, perhaps try downloading 3ds for free (30 day trial, then you can... ahem.. "buy" it if you know what I mean)

I've... attempted to use other programs. I can't figure them out. They are wwwaaaaaayyyy too complex. I wish I could work with them, but Rhino is the only one I'm happy with. Any other program and I'm a retard randomly pushing buttons. heh.

lol, well... If you cannot use other programs as good as you do Rhino, then perhaps you should get more in depth on Rhino, and try and find out the many rendering and light configurations so you can achieve an awesome rendering. I'm sure you could do that with Rhino... And if not, then perhaps you could just use a 3rd party renderer...
