The Empire's New WeaponWhen the Alliance came to our world, they had great vessels that were more powerful then what we had ever encountered. Though their own encounters with a force so powerful that it forced their advancement.
Their ships are enormous; the largest recorded ship size was that of half of our moon's mass. Also, they had shielding systems that we now employ in our STA drives. Because of this, we have to develop new weapons specially engineered and designed to combat Alliance vessels.
Our greatest, and most powerful weapon is the B.F.G. Cannons. They are huge magnetic mass driver cannons that fire off rounds that equal in size of a small shuttle. They are coated in depleted uranium metal alloys, with an underlying layer of lead. Incased in this extremely dense projectile are explosive charges, and a polarization matrix. The Polarization Matrix, or the PM as it will be referred to, was specially designed for two reasons. The first was to power two electromagnets, which the Magnetic Mass Drivers
The Imperium of ManIn the Ancient times, when man was still on his origin world, he fought bitterly against himself. Every generation knew some great battle, or war. It was not a matter that could be defined as something to escape, but it was a matter of human nature. Competition for survival of the fittest.
In the deepest depths of space, there existed the Alliance of Space Ascended Races. The Alliance was assembled to create a union of alien races that could help each other out, and eliminate the loneliness that had struck them all when they made their first stabs into space.
The Alliance is at war though, against an ancient battle relic. A ship that calls its self, the Vessel of Truth. It was designed to be the ultimate weapon in the war that the ancient races were battling. It was designed to analyze, develop, and construct a means of offensive and defensive operations.
It was a fully resourced battle tactical AI.
The result today is it's sphere of influence is growing. It had developed mines of a sp
The Decision of the AllianceBefore man knew the stars
The room was dark, lit only with minimal lights. It was enough to give those races that had less then greater visual nocturnal ability, but not so much as to overpower those with more sensitive eyes. It was filled with a wide variety of creatures, each a representative of his, hers, tres, and it's world. It was a room that was tall and cylindrical in shape. Along its walls were lined alcoves in which each representative and its support personnel occupied. In the center, and at the median height for the room's size, was a disk, resembling much like that of a crows nest on old terran sea vessels. Along its perimeter were seated the seven counsel members.
One of the aforementioned alcoves was lit in a blue light, that caused what seemed an ethereal glow. It was the sign that the counsel recognized and was allowing that representative to speak.
"Counsel Participant Representative Argrock of Darcaexios is allowed to speak," grumbled one of the counsel members.
