Had the first weekend since almost two years without any commissioned work. So I decided to use my rare free time to do something other than painting and ended up sculpting this dragon in ZBrush :-). Color and Postwork in Photoshop.
Hope you like, I had a lot of fun doing a free piece again, was about time!

Einfach umwerfend and erstklassiges image .. mir gefallen for allem die Schuppen ... die details sind genial und das Auge hat so richtig das Feuer in sich ... sehr gute harmonie mit dem Hintergrund und ein neues FAv :eager:

Ganz stark Uwe! Tolle Details und Feinheiten. Hast Du mit ZSpheres angefangen oder einer normalen Sphere Primitive? Oder hattest Du schon ein Base-Mesh gehabt? Hast Du ausserdem spezielle Alphas verwendet....Wie immer...die neugierigen Fragen über den Workflow:)

:-) hi markus,
basemesh mit zspheres und zsketch (hab ich glaub ich noch, kann ich dir schicken, zwischenschritte hab ich glaub ich nicht, ging einfach zu schnell und er war fertig :-))
dann grob modelliert, und alphas für die schuppen. zähne hatte ich schon von 'nem anderen drachen :-). hat nicht länger als 2 stunden gedauert das ganze. dann jede menge render mit verschiedenen materialien gemacht und alles in photoshop zusammengebastelt. am schluss noch mit dem wischfinger drüber und ein paar strukturebenen drüber und fertig.

Nur 2 stunden, das nenn´ ich mal effektive Arbeit - Toll! Wäre super, wenn Du mir das Basemesh mal schicken könntest...würde ich mir sehr gerne mal anschauen. Danke Dir nochmal für die Erklärung, bin halt immer auf der Suche nach Inspirationen und schneller Arbeitsweise. 1 Monat für ein Bild...hmmm...hab´ ich nicht so die Geduld dafür. Wie gesagt, schicke mir doch bitte mal dieses Basemesh, wäre SUPER !!!:)
