I am generally referred to as The Yellow Alien here on deviantART even though my real name is Scott Jarkoff. Since 1990, ten years prior to co-founding deviantART, I have been living in central Japan near Yokohama, the third largest city in this island country.
While I am a co-founder my daily activities label me as the Director, Community Development. I manage and oversee our Help Desk Team, Policy Violation Team, News Team and the Message Network @dministration. The position is effectively that of the one who leads the community in the various directions that it needs to go. Sounds weird, I know, but that is the basic definition. Management, and general community administration, take up a large portion of my time but I also submit product specifications in order to make your suggestions a reality.
