Good day JapanYoshi!

I am currently working on a visual novel and I would like to use this font as a logo and game banner for my visual novel,
but before I get started on using this font I would like to verify one thing,
Since you haven't verified properly if what type of "absolutely free" you mean for this font (you may have meant for personal use{one can use this but cannot show to public}, Freedom of use{using this font freely however they like}, etc.)

I would like to verify if can I use this font freely for my visual novel? or not?

P.S. I have to create an account just to verify if I can use this or not, I know its 2015 right now and its too late to ask this, but I need more confirmation on the freedom of use on this font or else I'll just have to find another font or think up of a new title to match up with another font

Hello,

Yeah, you could use this font for a visual novel, provided that I get a look at the final result. I know it's a weird condition, but that's what I want.

Thank you my good sir.

The final result of the visual novel MIGHT come out sooner or later in may 2017, which depends if there are hassles on posting games in steam and setting up a paypal acc. I'll be posting a link here (if allowed, or else I'll tell you the title for it if comments here are not allowing to post links) if the visual novel comes out.

To be honest though, I will be using this font as the visual novel's title/logo but I'll try to finish it up as soon as possible

You're very welcome! For me, just the logo would suffice. I want to see how my dear creations thrive in the wild.

Look, the font doesn't come with color. You have to add it on Photoshop or GIMP or Illustrator or Inkscape or (I'm not sure about this but) SAI or something.

I have a Photoshop Elements 4, which is probably older than yours. I also have a (quite literally) 10-year-old tablet.

On my version of Photoshop, I follow the following steps:

Gradient on Text
  1. Draw a rectangle with the Shapes tool.
  2. "Layer > Change Layer Content" (or something like that, I use the Japanese version) and change it to the gradient desired.
  3. Resize the rectangle so it covers the text.
  4. Clip the rectangle to the text layer, using Alt+Click. (The layers must be next to each other)
  5. Repeat for as long as you want. (probably # of lines, maybe you want to color a certain area a different color)

Glow (on really old Photoshop that can't change the color of the glow from light yellow)
  1. Duplicate the layer, once you make sure you don't want to edit the text anymore. You will have to repeat this step every time you edit what the text says.
  2. Color the layer with the color you want the glow to be.
  3. Move the duplicated layer to the bottom. It's a good idea to rasterize it.
  4. On "Filters > Blur > Gaussian Blur", move the slider so the preview has as much glow as you want.
  5. If the glow is too subtle for your taste, then you could duplicate the glow layer. If the glow is too much, then you could lessen the opacity of the glow layer.

Glow (on newer Photoshop that can change the color of the glow)
  1. Apply the glow effect from Layer Styles.
  2. I actually envy you if you can do this, but open the Layer Styles panel of the layer.
  3. Change the color of the glow. (I don't know how. My Photoshop isn't advanced enough.)
