This painting literally lifts itself off the page. The color and shading around her mouth and nose give it a 3D effect. The gleam in her eyes, the way she's looking off to the side and the smile make me think she's looking at someone. The sly smile on her face won't let us in on the story, but her eyes say it's love. It could be her baby, boyfriend or lover, the picture says it all she's in love. You also have to notice the way she's caressing her cheek is it fond memories or is it what's to come later. The colors are great that's what gives it the lift, I love the eyes and lips they help give the portrait a little whismy. The color in her hair and a little color of cloth, helps raise this to be the what a lot of artists strive for a complete stranger whose first glance at this is wow.
The Artist thought this was FAIR

this is very good!
Wow. I love the way the blue bleeds off of her face as if sad depressing emotions are being bled away. Her eyes appear optimistic. Very nice piece.
This really is stunningly beautiful. The colors are so incredible rich!
This is sooo stunning! Amazing work
Gorgeous as always : ) I love your watercolors!
Quick side note. My mom's physical therapist was over and saw the portrait. She said "Wow what a great picture" so it's not just me.
Gorgeous coloring, but I mainly love the hand!
jane-beeta you out did yourself on this one, I swear it look more like a sculpture. Your use of shadows and like make it start to come off the page. Great job!
I love this! The detail, the soft but huge lips. She reminds me of Katie Holms. Well done!!!!
