Steps for the 3rd collab with :iconalgenpfleger: :)

Here is the picture: [link]

It's a pity that he'll leave again tomorrow so this will probably the last collab for a while :(

Since there was a lot of recurring questions, here's some bla:
We painted this together in front of the same computer with the same (single) tablet, just taking turns every other minute.
Done in Photoshop CS3, without refs, mostly on a single layer except for textures and such in the end, hummmmm time was about 12-15 hours. We started in greyscale because we were too lazy to figure out colors and composition at the same time. :'D

Thanks so much for taking these progress steps. I learn so much just by looking at these in sequence and filling in the blanks. I should work in grayscale more often. It's much more straightforward, that's for sure!

I was wondering...do you often use the blend tool?
Cos when I use it on big size image, it lags a lot T_T
=O?

Looks really good, its easy to see your brainstorming like this, and your "evolution" in the piece.
Thanks for the steps.

oh wow, this is amazing. I just can't take my eye on each of them. It's just exciting seeing the progression just gives us more of insight in your technique. Thank you for posting this up :]

wow @.@ I've wondered for a while... do you start with a rough sketch or does it really start like that with blobs that are eventually cleaned up and with more details?
