Now thanks to this stupid title, I can't get "Put On Your Sunday Clothes" from 'Hello, Dolly!' out of my head.

"Out there, there's a world outside of Yonkers,
Way out there beyond this hick town, Barnaby,
There's a slick town, Barnaby (I played Barnaby),
Out there, full of shine and full of sparkle,
Close your eyes and see it glisten, Barnaby,
Listen, Barnaby!"

I LOVE your interpretation of the Phase II Enterprise. Is it an illusion or did you not add the curve to the underside of the saucer, though?

Why thank you, I can't take full credit for the "interpretation," as it were, as it's actually based off of these schematics: [link] but with minor liberties taken.

As for the curve, it is there, it's just not particularly prominent because of the lighting. You can see it better here: [link] Personally that's one thing I dislike about the JJ Enterprise. Taking away that curve somehow removes a bit of character from it.

Wonderful image, Phase II art is rare, especially high quality ones. :)

Yonkers, New York. A kind of a big suburb.

Yay! Someone who actually understands that the warp nacelles have nothing to do with impulse drive!

I'm lonely... lol, XD

Haha well, I'd considered putting in light streaks for all the lit surfaces like when the Enterprise goes to warp in the TOS Cast Movies, but...yeah, that didn't work out. I figured, then, that it'll just be running on impulse. And yes haha the impulse drive is a fusion reactor while the warp drive is the M/AM reactor. It's mainly just for visual effect that people have everything streak at once, I think.

Still, it drives me nuts when artists blast the warp nacelles with the impulse drive. Like in the new Star Trek movie...with the USS Kelvin...erg. Good movie, otherwise, though. XD

Oh, yeah, that... I still don't understand the warp drives in that movie. It makes less sense now than it did in 1960. Good movie, not so good Trek.

Agreed.

Slick piece of work. You can always count on the good ol' impulse engines.

Yeah, that effect was a lot tougher to get to work right than I'd wanted, but in the end it worked out.
