Endless Desert at Night

Here is more 3d background artwork from the upcoming Spyro film. This is the Endless Desert aka Desert of Ages which is located on the outer reaches of Avalar and serves as border between Avalar and the Forgotten Realms.

History Footnote from the film:

Legend has it that once a great city existed where the desert is but that it was destroyed during a great war. That war was a battle that Cynder and Spyro of Legend of Spyro, with their newly formed dragon clan known as the Vanguardian Dragons, join to help their friends the Avalarians and Elora's ancestor, General Carla . The battle was against the remnants of the Dark Master's forces. The battle ended in victor for Spyro, Cynder and their allies but General Carla died. She perished by courageously taking a powerful magical attack at point blank range. The attack was meant to kill Cynder but Carla took the hit to protect and save her friend's life. As you guest it... this is where Spyro and Cynder's daughter gets her name from. They named their daughter in memory of their dear sweet and valiant friend.

General Carla was already a mother when she died. She left behind two sons and a daughter. Her oldest son, Zander is Elora's direct ancestor. Elora has an older brother who will be mentioned in the film and who will make later his debut in the currently-in-development animated series, Spyro: The Destiny Chronicles.
