*EDIT 3/1: Please, perfectionist gods... just let me be finish with this... Anyhoo, I slightly edited the hair on this, because the lower bits were driving me nuts. Well, still driving me nuts, but whatever.
*EDIT 2/26: It really bothered me how un-detailed the jeans were, so first I added some more shading (even the slightest bit of shading can do wonders on something, trust me) then used a noise filter on Paint.net to give it a denim-like texture, then duplicating the layer the resulting layer and darkening it, and then changing the new layer's transparency. I'm not quite sure how I feel about, but I thought I'd be experimental. I also attempted to change the lower hair, but I'm gonna put that on the back burner for now.
*EDIT 2/24: Guess who forgot something obvious? It was me! The belt has been added, even though it looks pretty crappy. I also changed her eyebrows a little.
Now here's a doll I've been wanting to do for a long time. Alyx's design provided a challenge that was for the most part fun while not making me want to tear out my hair, even though there are parts that I know need work (especially the hair and jeans). I just really wanted to make something for one of my favorite game series.
Also, something I never noticed before checking out her model, Alyx has some red in her hair (you can see a little tiny bit on this doll too), which makes me wonder... where did she find hair dye in the Combine-controlled dystopian future? Pretty sure that's the real mystery of Half-Life right there.
for the original SSMU base
for the front view SSMU base, part of the jeans, and the lower back part of the hair
If I forgot anyone, let me know!
