Why, hello there! Jamie Clough here of cloughplays (YouTube & Twitter) & JamieCloughComics (deviant-ART) "fame" ,however, this account is not really about me personally, but, rather purpose-built around the mainly female Characters created both digitally & hand-drawn in my comic-strip/graphic novel/videogame. With that I'll leave you with a quick Character bio of my main character Alexandria the inspiration for her & how she was developed.
Alexandria is a professional Archaeologist/Adventurer from Nottingham, England, with a previous background in detective field work. Her inspiration? 12 years ago before I figured out how to draw people (or anything else for that matter) I was inspired to create a strong female character who combined the attitude of Angel Of Darkness style Lara Croft 2003-2004 era, the look of Beyoncé 2003-2006 era, the feisty-ness of Buffy 2000-2002 era & the professionalism of Agent Scully 1998-2000 era. After many failed experiments, & years of development Alexandria is the ultimate culmination of this inspiration. Although 3 other main characters are also in development they are Eartha, Syriha & Zara profiles of these characters are also on the way though not available presently.
Though it wasn't until 2009, 3 years into the comic-strip projects development that any real progress had been made the works of 2006-2008 were so badly designed that I since had them all destroyed! In many ways 2009 was the real start of the comic-strip project but even then there was still along way to go & a lot to learn.
It was another 3 years before the project was first online in 2012, but I later removed all these works (more than 160!) from deviant-ART after I was affected by a crises in confidence after which I deleted my original profile. I wondered if I should just post developments on my Blog rather than a Art website which is what I did during 2014. However in August 2014 I then decided to re-join deviant-ART with a new name (my own name) with a much clearer purpose of exactly what I wanted to do with the project. Since then it has evolved in the precise manor that I wanted. Progress in all areas of the project has been in the right direction over the last 3 years which is fantastic.
