I'm going to catch so much shit for this.
WARNING! UNSOLICITED OPINIONS ON COMIC BOOKS!
So if any of you follow comics recently Mockingbird's solo run was cancelled recently due to low sales. Mostly because it was Bobbi belching out feminist propaganda at every opportunity with no real attempt to craft an interesting story. Give her some credit, she made it one more issue than Angela, Queen of Hel.
Anyway, That didn't stop the writer from doing the normal crap where she accused comic book fans of hating her for being a woman writer. Complete with the cancelled twitter account and every half-assed comic blog from coast to coast screaming harassment and patriarchy. #Nontroversy
To paraphrase Squirrel Girl, Remember when comics were a place you wanted to escape to rather than escape from?
So this me, mocking the ridiculous cover of Mockingbird #8 where Bobbi wears a shirt that says "Ask Me About My Feminist Agenda"
Now I'm a freedom of speech person. If you want to make a comic that's all propaganda and no story, well more power to you. However, people have a write to not like what you do and that includes making jokes about it or just telling you straight up it's bad. Especially if you're going to be a writer for the biggest comics label on the planet.
Quick note, yes that is a bulge in those briefs. I am a transgirl you know.
This is probably the closest I'll come to making anything NSFW, or at least that I'd release into the wild. (Never say never though.)
DISCLAIMER: Fair Use applies here. If you're offended by this, tough.
Sad that I have to do that.
P.S. The plane banner is a shout out to Liz Finnegan's coffee mug
, that mocks those silly "Male Tears" mugs you see on twitter sometimes.
Mockingbird, Silver Surfer and Spider Gwen are the intellectual property of Marvel/Disney
Aquaman is the property of DC Comics and who ever the fuck owns them now.
All characters used under Fair Use laws for the United States.
P.P.S. Seriously don't try to think this is anti-woman stuff. I'm not anti-woman, just poking fun of something that's clearly asking for it.
Kind of sad that I should have to make disclaimers like that.
