This is 100% self-indulgent fanservice for me when it comes to Rick and Morty. Ever since Ep5, I've wanted Morty to get a real, for serious, protective hug. The poor guy deserves one. It may not be completely in the spirit of the show, but this is why we have fanart, and I felt a lot better after drawing this picture.
