Victor was sitting there, in the witness box. He was sweating from nervousness over what the court ruling would be for his brother's trial. His brother, Beck, had apparently shot two people and threatened six more. Victor was confused of why his brother would do such a thing, Beck normally seemed very quiet and would never consider breaking any laws. Even when they were kids his brother always obeyed the rules, Victor had no idea what got into him. Victor was surprised and worried when he was called to be a witness to his brother's trial.
As the trial went on, it started seeming more and more hopeless for Beck. Every person who was involved with the crime all were agreeing that Beck was guilty. It was almost over. There were just one more witness who had to speak before it was Victor's turn. Even though is was his trial, Beck was acting quiet, he wasn't denying anything. After the second-to-last witness spoke, the judge finally said "Our final witness, Victor Toverfield

The box lids folded back as a young slim blonde girl opened them and took out a large object wrapped in newspaper, carefully she unwrapped the object from the newspaper revealing it to be a shiny black statue of a cat with little emeralds for the eyes.
The placed it on the shelf opposite the sofa just above the television but as she placed it she received a strange shock from it . "Are you crazy?"
Daniel Gray stood by the railing of the jaguar enclosure, staring at the fence designed to prevent unwary humans from falling in-and becoming lunch.
Daniel was no unwary human, however.
His friend Joseph Stevenson stood right by him, slack-jawed in shock, holding a new, black video camera.
"Why on earth are you considering doing this?"
"Because my fans demand it!" Daniel retorted, peering off over the fence into the ditch below. He was the star, creator and founder of his own youtube channel, "Trying it at home." Using only the most basic of equipment, the teen did whatever he heard people say "Don't try this at home", and filmed himself doing so. Luckily, he never got any permanent injuries, at least so far.
He was tall, reaching around 6'2", and had luscious blonde, wavy hair. He didn't quite have an athlete's build, but he was at least fit.
"Um . . . you have no fans."
Daniel glared at Joseph, who grinned sl

Sighing, Aaron took a seat in the veterinarian's waiting room. He mouthed a silent prayer that it wouldn’t take long to examine Bella but knew he would most likely have a long wait ahead of him. It wasn’t that Aaron minded taking his dog to get care, it simply confused him how such a young Burnese Mountain Dog could be so unwell as to necessitate four checkups in the span of a week.
He reflexively reached for his cellphone to pass the time only to be met with a ‘NO BATTERY’ message after attempting to power it on. Mentally kicking himself for not charging his phone earlier, Aaron knew that not much could be done without a power cord and began to defeatedly eye the room for a newspaper, tabloid, or anything that could repel the boredom that had already begun to set in.
His gaze landed on a magazine rack in the corner of the room that held a white tablet propped against the wall, it’s screen facing away. Aaron took keen notice of a yellow restriction warning

“Sentenced to life, as a productive member of society.” The judge’s words were still clear in his ears, even here in the Facility. It had no other name save that, and was always spoken of in hushed whispers.
Kyle Holt sighed, rolling his shoulders. It didn’t scare him in the slightest. When one had the chance to speak to God, and learn that murder was the answer, little things like capital punishment only felt like an inevitable conclusion.
“That’s him, right? That’s the one who killed Daddy?” The little girl from the trial teared up. She stood behind a glass pane, looking at him with dubious eyes. Her mother stood behind her, but the woman seemed too distraught to come up with a coherent thought.
Kyle didn’t feel like a monster. He was, but he didn’t feel like one. People never seemed to understand that sometimes death had to come early. He smiled to the girl, and nodded.
