You mean, why are most of my submissions screenshots?
Because...
(a) I mostly use DA as a desktop customization resource anyway.
(b) I live having a visual progression of my desktops in a single place.
(c) Flickr has been cracking down on screenshots.
(d) There's a desktop screenshot category, which I've been posting to, and there's generally several small neat things in the shots I post. If someone wants to know how I did something, I'll tell them.
(e) ...I can't draw.
