If I tell you I had "Funeral Pyre for a Jedi" playing while drawing that pyre on the last panel, would you guys believe me? I can't think of funeral pyres without thinking of Return of the Jedi.
I had fun with the background in this one as well. Setting the scene at night made the pyre pop out more, as well as the starfield. There's plenty of obvious symbolism here, I'll let you guys point it out in the comments if you're up for it. It is obvious, and the whole comic is chuckful of it, but it makes for interesting shots that aren't stale or generic. Gotta keep some visual stimulation here and there or else the comic feels all the same.
This is the last page we have ready at the time of submitting this, but we're currently doing two more! So stay tuned, the ending is near!
I hope you guys enjoy it. Please, feel free to share your ideas, thoughts and theories in the comments.
We do promise to get a page out each month at the very least, but there is a way you can help us with getting these out faster, and that is to support on Patreon. He's paying for all the pages and currently is struggling to not just support this project but other art comic projects of his as well.
HERE'S THE PAGE!
Every and all support is welcome. If you donate more money to him, he can pay me for the future comic pages faster, as well as any other projects we plan on working together for such as his big project “Fallen Dusk” which you can read about on his patreon milestone goal list.
We are glad to be working on this again and we hope you guys donate so this comic can continue forward without delay.
You can check a full collection of work in progress shots on the following links: TUMBLR - SKETCHES 1 - BACKGROUND - LINEART - COLORS
Please, let me know what you think, of both this page and the series, in the comments.
