This is the second collaboration I've worked on this month, and I have to say I am discovering things about my art I had no idea about. It turns out I'm really comfortable working with a sketch drawn by someone else, and developing a background without a clear sketch of it. I've never had the chance to work with a sketch that I hadn't drawn in the first place, so finding out I can actually do so feels really good.

Also, shading with warm colors is such a neat experience. I hope I managed to capture the feel of a summer afternoon this picture deserved. I do have to say though, I don't regret the times when I was shading colors with just black and white. Had I not done that I wouldn't have been able to improve upon my craft. It's how I started drawing, and if you're ashamed of your beginnings then you don't deserve to be where you are, don't you think?
