All the time I was working on this picture, anytime I brought it up, there was always someone who'd say "Uh, but WarHammer40k and My Little Pony don't combine well at all". I think maybe it was because Prince Blueblood always gets a bad rep, perhaps because he's worked really hard to get it. The way the fandom has seen him through the TV show is as a spineless twit, and quite frankly I think we over emphasize said lack of spine. So I approached this picture with a different attitude. I wanted to make this look like a painting you could find over a fireplace in a mansion or a royal palace. I wanted to give this guy a bit of poise and dignity, if only because you can only draw the same character so many times looking like a total wimp.

This is the result. Now, whether it works or not that depends on what you guys think, so more now than ever I encourage you to share your thoughts on the comments below.

This piece is directly inspired by the fanfiction "Blueblood: Hero of Equestria", which is directly inspired by "Ciaphas Cain: Hero of the Imperium", which is also inspired by "The Flashman Papers". So what we have here is a crossover that inspired by a novel that was also inspired by a series of novels. I think we need to dust off the Inception Button to properly describe this one.
