We are continue the tutorial...My papercraft tutorial (easy) - pt.1

Body tilt and rotation
- This step is optional, but I want to show how this can be done.

- First determine where to cut the body. Once you have decided, do this with a paper knife or small scissors.

- Use a strip 1 cm wide, as shown in the photo, gradually glue the holes in both the upper and lower parts of the body.

- Well, that's all for now. I will continue to work on another model, and you expect from me new figures, their photos and tutorials.
My rules in papercraft - there are no rules, do as it comes to your mind. Improvise, experiment - you are limited only by your imagination. Do not be afraid to make mistakes, paper will allow you to make them. Just do it!
Thank you and have a nice day!
- At this stage, if you only needed to "rotate the body", you can connect the halves of the body with an "envelope" or "rivet", which was previously shown at the stages with the neck or joints (the first part of the tutorial)

After we sealed the place of the cut in the upper part of the body, we cut off another part of the body (slightly above the place where we just glued the hole). And seal the hole in the body again. After that we...

...in the sides and at the bottom of this part we make holes for the tubes (two tubes of 1 cm and one 1.5 cm ) For the tubes, I chose a thick rod from the helium pen (about 5mm diameter). We cut one end of the tube into strips about 5 mm long to make the “petals”, glue them to the paper, thread the blank into the hole and cut the “petals” from the other side. Everything is as in the photo.

- We immediately make a 1 cm tube by screwing it onto a thick handle rod, and over it we wrap a 4-5 mm strip and glue it around so that it remains movable (as when creating a joint).

If you have chosen your sizes for the figure, do everything as you wish, what thickness the tubes should be: wind them on a pencil, pen shaft, etc.

- We glue sheets of paper to the petals, cutting excessively along the edge, and glue strips of paper glued in two layers to the body on the sides. In the lower part of the body (where the tubes stick out), we cut off the excess from the front edge, so that nothing would interfere with the inclination (example in the photo). In the end, we glue everything together.

An example of what we should get:

How to make a face
This part is completely up to you! There are many options:We will start with the "eyes"
- You can just draw a face
- You can draw it on paper separately and then stick it on the figure or make it replaceable.
- You can simply cut out eyes from colored paper, make your mouth out of a slot (one or more), etc.
If you continue to follow me, you will see many other options ... or see what I have now ~.=.^
- I apply the same method of creation as for the joints shown earlier. For this figure, I applied a new (for myself), but simple (for you) way of creating closing eyes.

Alternative: Make rings 4-5 mm wide on the thick shaft of the pen and insert a bundle of paper 1.5 cm long and 1 cm wide into it. To make it the diameter of the ring, you can mark on the tube with a pencil the place where the "convolution" ends and glue it.- After we cut the edges into “petals” and bend them inward (not into the tube itself!), Glue them with pieces of paper, if necessary, cut off the excess. We take a strip across the width of the ring, one edge of the strip, literally a couple of millimeters, bend in two layers. Wrap and glue to the ring, but not completely, leaving room for the "pupil".

- In the head we make slits for the eyes, start cutting from the edges of the head and make cuts in the shape of a “П” to make a “tongue”, which we bend into the inside of the head. On the sides of the eyes we apply thinly glue and insert into the resulting holes, they should be glued to the side walls of the head and the “tongue” bent inward. As a result, we have eyes that rotate “on the axis,” with “eyelids”
- For the jaw we use the same thick handle shaft, this time we make a tube under the width of the head (1.5 cm), and on top we make another one a few millimeters and already - we will glue the cut out part of the face to it, it is desirable to strengthen it with pieces of paper connecting them with a narrow tube and the very part of the face. Glue pieces of paper on the sides of the tube, cut off the excess on the edge and apply glue to the closed sides of the tube and insert the “jaw” into the head.

How to make a mouth
I just cut out a part of face with a "chin," I glued to it on another layer of paper for strength. Let it dry, and then cut out the excess along the contour and slightly curved rounding.

- It turned out here is such a “Face” with an open mouth and eyes.

Appearance and painting
- Well, here is the conclusion. What can be said about this stage? Do whatever you want! Everything is limited only by your imagination! You can skip it at all - if the end result suits you.Just a few notes:
- It is better to use acrylic paints or gouache for painting - acrylic is applied without water, and acrylic can be applied lightly using water so that the figure and its details are not wet.
- Be careful when painting in the moving parts of the figure, sometimes the paint works like glue, especially acrylic.
- A figure can be immediately made of paper of different colors - in this case, its creation must be properly thought out in advance. As an option: you can glue the figure with the simplest colored paper after assembly, and for the strength of the body, you can glue it with colored cardboard.
- Our "test" bot turned out to be a desperate bot, rather shabby with time, clinging to itself parts from other bots or any metal that comes to hand. He doesn’t see well in one eye, he doesn’t hear well, he limps, he doesn’t have enough small parts, and a hole gapes in his back - but it still functions.

- Well, that's all for now. I will continue to work on another model, and you expect from me new figures, their photos and tutorials.

My papercraft tutorial - pt.4 - Different joints
- Previously, I already had posts about tutorials where I briefly touched on this topic, there was even a separate post on special ball joints, but this time I will talk a little more about the different ways of using all joints. But still I advise you to read the previous posts, if you did not do this earlier.
Let me remind you how to make the simplest joint:
- The size of the details will depend on the size of the figure you want to make, but the manufacturing itself does not change. For example, let there be strips of paper of arbitrary length, but 1 cm and 2 cm wide. All you need is any core (round pencil, pen core, etc.) to roll paper
My papercraft tutorial pt.3 - Ball joints
This is a continuation of a series of personal paper craft tutorials where I talk in detail about making paper figures in a special way.
Tutorial 1 and Tutorial 2 for beginning
How to make ball joints
- Besides the obvious things: paper, glue, scissors, you will still need, oddly enough, balls ... and preferably different sizes! They can be: plastic, glass and metal.
- We select the balls based on the size of the figure. One ball should be slightly larger than the second. Both balls are wrapped with a piece of paper, which would be easier, make cuts along the edges of the paper, and then wrap the ball and moisten it well with glue.

My papercraft tutorial (Simple)- pt. 1
Beginning
- By popular demand, I decided to post a tutorial on my technique. For the first tutorial, I tried to make it as simple as possible. This is not a new tutorial, I posted it on a Russian site. I will try to translate it into (bad)English, if you have questions - just ask.
To get started, we need:
- Paper - It needs a lot, I personally used notes for notes ranging in size from 7x7 cm to 9x9 cm and always without an adhesive side, but you can use any other and preferably thick paper, if you do not have one, then glue it in several layers: 2-3 layers is enough. Otherwise, it will simply become impossible to make some details or the
