A 70 minute speedpainting for the weekly speedpainting theme "Birth of a Phoenix " for the group 
Instead of conjuring up an epic scene, I chose to focus on a burning feather to represent this theme.
I looked up some reference images of various feathers as well as some burning fire and used that as a basis for the painting.

The upper fire looks like fire and the lower fire more closely resembles feathers--just what is needed. This is really good.
