Political Map of Tamriel 4E193 - Revised

My interpretation of Tamriel's political situation in 4E193, after the Great War.

I renamed Morrowind to Old Morrowind, since the events of the Red Year have essentially left it without a functioning government. The size of the Scathing bay is a guess.

I've included Elsweyr as part of the Aldmeri Dominion, since the kingdoms are client states, and as such Thalmor puppets. For all intents and purposes it might as well be part of the Dominion.

In the Revision I have included Solstheim, which I completely forgot about in the old one

I believe that High Rock is still part of the Empire as of the 4th Era setting of Skyrim elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Hi… just above the 'geography' heading.
On this map it seems unclear as to whether High Rock is part of the Empire or a separate state.
Otherwise: Excellent map

Ah yes, I can see you confusion. Note the dotted border with Skyrim and the solid border with Hammerfell. This was supposed to show High Rock as part of the Empire. It's not immediately obvious, I agree, but at the time I was unsure how I should represent the province borders within the different states

Nice, I'd really like to print this map in large size if you don't mind. I only have two comments:
- Almalexia should be called Mournhold since the Tribunal were rejected;
- Alabaster is not Leyawiin and should get another marker. Source: www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Whi…
Since Alabaster is mentioned at the time of Oblivion, it is a separate entity from Leyawiin.

Maybe you have no interest in changing this; but since I'd like to use it for my D&D campaign, could you maybe send me your psd files?

Hey,sorry it took so long to get back to you. Sure you can print it out, but the largest size I have is here on DeviantArt, the PSD has the same dimensions.

As for the city names, I'll probably just do a new map when TESVI comes out. Can't be far away now!

I really like your Political Map of Tamriel.

Out of curiosity, what typefaces did you use? I'd like to be sure I have them for my own use or download them.

Auldjohn, currently Ebonheart Pact Dunmer Templar. Also Master Sage, The Elders Sages Guild (TESG), a private closed Guild.

Thank you :)

I'm pretty sure the typefaces came stock standard with Photoshop CS5.1. The provinces and nations use Charlemagne Std, and I'm pretty sure that the cities use Segoe Script.

I've been dabbling more with typefaces and html/css and a good place to find nice ones is www.dafont.com/ Most are free for personal use

Needs Blacklight somewhere on the western region of Morrowind next to the Skyrim border.  That's the new capital of Morrowind now that the Redorans are de facto in charge.

I kept meaning to put that on there. Thanks for reminding me. Done :)

South Western Morrowind is still part of the Tamriellic Empire by the way. Just thought you should know..Over all good map. I hope Tamriel becomes re-united again.

You're welcome.

I think that Solstheim should be a little larger because in the Dragonborn DLC it seems abouy 1/3 of the size of Skyrim but in the map it is about 1/10.

The size of Solstheim is based off already released official maps. The in-game scale of Soltheim is for game purposes only

Oh! I've read a lot of the in-game books on the history of Tamriel between Oblivion and Skyrim, but I didn't know Leyawiin had been conquered. When was that? And how did it happen?

Very nice map, by the way. I'd love to see a future TES game that includes all of Tamriel again and not just single provinces (or small parts of them). :3

Leyawiin was being part of Elsweyr was my intpretation of existing Lore. During the Great War, to Dominion took a lot of Southern Cyrodiil. The Khajiit were happy about this, Leyawiin was once part of Elwyer, taken from then by the Imperials after the Five Years War. Now they had it back. When Dominion and the Empire were arguing the terms of the White-Gold Concordat (the Empire less debating and more accepting) Elsweyr would have likely asked the Thalmor to stipulate Leyawiin remaining with Elswyer as one of the terms. Now, the Elves would not want topiss off the province they get most of their foot-soldiers from, and since they already had it, they may as well keep it. I doubt the Empire really gave Leyawiin a second glance at that point.

Fascinating stuff! I didn't realise that Elsweyr had been so in bed with the Thalmor. :/

It depends on how you see it. The Thalmor tricked Elsweyr into becoming part of the Dominion. Then there's the purges that Malborn mentioned in Valenwood. I have no doubt the Thalmor would run a similar campaign against the tribal khajiit. The city khajiit would support their Elven overlords, due to the Thalmor suppression of information on how Elsweyr was before Thalmori rule (whether they were better under the Empire, or the short period of self-governance is still up for debate.) The Dominion would simply see that the keeping of a minor city would undoubtedly keep their cannon fodder happy.

Please stop spreading your racist anti Elven propaganda. We know you are loyal supporter of Empire and will gladly help them with conquering and slaughtering Khajiit again, as they did before! Raksha shows no mercy to traitors :)

And who keeps spouting that racist pro-Elven garbage at me? ;)
