A few months back, FFG announced the end to their long-running Star Wars: The Card Game. This illustration based on the confrontation in the "Vader Down" comic was chosen as a tournament prize card and is the last Darth Vader card released for the game. Interestingly enough, I also created the artwork for the very first Darth Vader card in the game, and it also features Vader filling a lot of Rebel body bags. Who would have guessed that the entire card game would be book-ended by my two violent Vaders!

Lord Vader will accept their surrender, if they choose to surrender. But if they resist... well, he's Darth Vader. We all know what happens when you resist Darth Vader.
OMG. The force is strong in this one!
Whoa! Nice job drawing this character! You have such an amazing style!
Your Star Wars art is your best stuff in my opinion. Your Lightsabers are on point too. 'Tutorial on lightsabers, he asked hopefully?!'
Thank you! Most of the time I do my lightsabers just by making a solid white core shape and applying an "Outer Glow" layer style to it in Photoshop (when it's a digital piece). Just play with the settings and color you want and you're pretty much set! Easy peasy!
Amazing work, what a great composition
WOW! It's awesome. Good job)
If I was there I'd be saying RUN FOR IT!
"I mean he couldn't possibly escape ALL of us......right?.....RIGHT?!?"
Always love seeing my Vader ...Wonderful work!!
tip-top work here.
A badass drawing for one of Vader's most badass moments/quote.
In Thrawn: Alliances, it is described how Vader's men go both in fear and in awe of the man. Stormtrooper Commander Kimmund, commanding officer of the First Legion (its fifth, owing to Vader's penchant for choking people), always gets a chill whenever he sees Vader enter battle. And I think this encapsulates the awe and terror of Vader Zahn described. Only here we see it on the enemy side. And yet I imagine any off-camera Stormtroopers are thinking, as Kimmund does, something along the lines of "Oh, wow, thank goodness this scary badass is on our side!"
Absolutely fantastic, I love the angle you did on the scene In, makes it very unique, especially for Star Wars.
To quote my best boy...."It would be time to fucking RUN!"
This is amazing!
