The updated stock usage rules for 2017
Since the word use in the below description may be confusing to people who do not have English a first language I will add to this.

"I hereby grant all DeviantArtists permission to use my stock in any and all Deviant Prints without restriction."

Commercial use of my stock photography is permitted so long as it follows the below points. You are NOT allowed to use my non-stock materials .

You may use these images as you see fit except as follows:
- None of the images in the collection will EVER be used on a site that has PORNOGRAPHY of any sort, content or advertising. My work is art, not pornography and this can reflect poorly on the models I use and my own work. If you are caught you will be banned permanently without warning.
- If you violate any of these rules or violate any of my copyrights you are prohibited entirely, forever, from using any of my stock in any way, shape, or form - commercially or otherwise.
- Do not simply upload them to a pay site. These images are for photo compositors and artists; they are not to be used as content in and of themselves.
- You may use the stock images commercially and outside of DA. Please link me your use and please keep it tasteful. Do not defame or insult the models in your work.
- The models in my images are real human beings with real feelings. Please be considerate of how the models might see themselves.
- These images are mostly un-retouched - though they may be color-corrected - and are at high resolution. I did not go and remove dust-spots, skin blemishes, etc. Please clean that stuff up in post-work and make the models look good! Also: don't think I do not know how to produce a good photo; these are intended as raw stock.
- I often forward copies of pictures to the models that aren't on DA but who have expressed an interest in seeing what you do with them. Some of the models may choose to use your images in their personal portfolios. If you have a problem with that, warn me.
- You are allowed to repost works based on my stock in other places (personal websites, contests, whatever) than DA but please maintain a credit to me where appropriate. If you post a link, I prefer it to be to my personal website www.DMacstudios.com  My real name is David MacKenzie please use that instead of "jagged-eye" if possible.
- If you have any questions; ask via Email through DMacstudios.

Thank you a lot for your stock :) The pictures are awesome and it is really nice of you to permit commercial use. I'm being inspired by your stock for book covers.

Hey, I've found some people sharing your stock in a discord server without credit - is that alright?

Hi, I am working right now with your excellent stock. I do a picture for DA challenge "occ arcane idol" They rules are they reserve the right to use the picture worldwide by Wacom. Is that ok with you? The chance of winning is, of course, little but I wanted to know your opinion before I submit it. :) (Smile)

I cannot believe you allow commercial use. This is amazing and your gallery is amazing. I cannot stop favoriting your stock because there is such a variety! Workable poses, models, and outfits. Its a book cover creators dream. Thank you very much for what you do. Hug

I had a question regarding the first rule. I have no intention of using your work for anything inappropriate, but I do have some other mature works in my gallery. Does that mean I am unable to use your stock?

Inappropriate to me means art that would show hateful speech or a message that supports hate or a hateful ideology.
Using images for reference is fine. Erotica is not an issue. Just be tasteful and respectful to the models.

Hi. Some great stock here. I'm looking at using your models (Niki Kali) as a reference for part of a painted/mixed media Hindi vibed art work. May be kept, gifted or sold (will depend on when it gets finished) but just checking if that fits in your criteria of fair use? Cheers again for sharing.

The rules are pretty clear. You can use the stock in your professional work and yes you can sell it. Just follow the rules the best you can.

Hi there.
I just wanted to clarify one point in your rules.
"The models in my images are real human beings with real feelings. Please be considerate of how the models might see themselves."
I have no wish to offend anyone, but are things like swapping heads considered "inconsiderate" in this instance?
I often combine several parts of various poses from different models to create something new. Is that acceptable?
Many thanks for all the amazing stock - you have some awesome pictures here. <3

Thank you for checking. Swapping piece or body parts is fine so long as it is not for anything x-rated or in bad taste, such as for anything to promote hate or cultural violence.

Oh no! It wouldn't be anything like that - it's just some people don't like seeing a new head on their body etc, which is fair enough, so I just wanted to check.
Thank you so much <3

The redrawing and changing things or even the face to be unrecognizable (like a simple drawing reference) ok with you?
