Started drawing early and my parents decided to encourage it. I took semi-private drawing classes from 1st-5th grade, and switched to oil painting from 6th-8th grades. I did the typical middle school and High School art classes and went on to get a minor in art (graphic design) in college.
I have only recently tried digital painting. My digital work is done in Inkscape and Gimp. I often do a pencil sketch first that i then scan/import into inkscape or Gimp.
I do prefer traditional methods - painting and colored pencils mostly.
