Since a lot of people said they really did not like instagram, I did decide to get an FA account despite staying away from that site all these years. It's a lot easier to use and displays artwork better. It really feels more like how old DA used to be. I stared my first Deviantart account back in 2004. That's almost 20 years I have been on this site. It's what inspired me to become an artist. I never thought I would leave this site, but I just don't feel any sense of connection or community here, and haven't for a long, long time. I honestly think I stayed as long as I did because of nostalgia. I mean absolutely no ill will toward Deviantart, but the site is almost unusable to me, and I don't ever see it having a come back. Social media sites come and go, and this will always hold the spot for the most loved, most special place online.
