Greetings DA friends!
A lot has been going on lately! I just spent two months in Australia where I collected hundreds of huntsman spiders and began working on some preliminary behavior experiments. During my last few days in Aus I was notified that I was awarded funding through the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program. This is a huge honor and a huge relief since now I am guaranteed three years of full support for my PhD research at Cornell.

I apologize for not producing more art as of late, but I am currently getting ready to graduate with my B.S. in Biology next week and I've been quite busy with classes, research and of course my scientific illustrations. I'm beginning work as a PhD student this August at Cornell University in the Entomology department so I'm sure I will have an entirely different perception of the word "busy" this fall after classes begin and I start work on my research project. I can't wait to move to NY but I'm a little nervous about the first few weeks financially because my fellowship from the school does not kick in until two
