Ok, I've been thinking about this alot, so please try follow what I am going to say. A month ago, my friend
posted a journal that talked about his negative feelings towards Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019), and it got me thinking about my own views on the upcoming film. Keep in mind that these are my own opinions.
Now, I watched both the trailers for this movie, and I do admit that I am excited. Of course, I do have my fears on how the film will be executed. Will I like the characters, human & kaiju? Is there going to be a good story? Are they just repeating the same thing over and over again with the fact Mothra and King Ghidorah are in the film?
From what I have seen, i am cautionously optimistic about the film, though I am keeping my expectations down really low. The Mothra/Ghidorah formula does get old after a while, though I do admit that I feel they represented a bit better here than the Godzilla anime trilogy, from the trailers alone. Plus, it looks like Rodan will be boss, so that's always a plus. Also, to be positive, this is a new way to see them, and so far, they do look pretty good. Plus, from what I heard, there will be more monsters appearing in the film, which is pretty cool. Additionally, while I do the trailers showed a bit too much in some ways, you only got enough stuff to know what the story will be like, and I think it might be pretty decent.
Do I have my doubts? Of course, but I can look over that if the film is entertaining, and hopefully it will be. Keep in mind, I loved Rampage, that was just a silly creature feature/action movie, and it was awesome due to that fact.
Anyway, that's all I have to say? Feel free in leaving a comment if you wish.
