General Photography DD Roundup: November 2016Welcome!
This month the general photography CVs - Mrs-Durden, TanyaSimpson and myself - were all super busy in real life so we didn't get as many DDs up as we usually do. Apologies, we'll try harder this month! Many thanks to everyone who's suggested to us, and as always we need more suggestions so don't be shy. Our guidelines are linked at the bottom of this article, and we tend to get a lot more People and Portraits suggestions than anything else so bonus points if you send us great pieces from the "weird" galleries. Self-suggestions are always welcome if you have a piece of your own that you think we should see!

Born in Coimbra, Portugal, ages ago. An architect by trade, I have always worked in photography since I was a boy when people said that my photos were different and I captured the feeling of people. I worked as a professional photographer for a cars magazine and worked the formula 1 championship, rally, moto gp and several other sports, for six years when I was at university learning architecture. After that
wow! as a resident of sultry singapore, trust me when i say this is one of the loveliest photo i've seen of gardens by the bay. this is an unconventional angle and i definitely appreciate that it allows us to have a glimpse of the fauna and the intricate structure of the bridge and the metal trees. i also adore the bold, vibrant colours and how well the warm reds go together with the strong blues. my only quibble might be the fact that the blue might be too headstrong of a shade — its intensity can make it quite impossible for one to stare at this photo for more than a few seconds. i think i would also have appreciated it if the image were crisper and clearer in the area of the fauna but these little bits of feedback from an amateur aside — what a novel shot! the DD is nothing but well-deserved.
