One of my first Spy vs Spy concepts. This sketch features a number of small references to previous "Spy vs Spy" comics. Only a serious or long-time fan would be able to notice it.
For those of you who don't know, Spy vs Spy is one of MAD Magazine's longest running features. It was created by Cuban cartoonist Antonio Prohias (1921-1998) and was first published in MAD #60 (Jan 1961). It is about two spies, one in black and one in white, that are in an endless battle to outwit one another. The strip is currently written and drawn by Peter Kuper.
I was unsure on whether to classify this as "mature content" or not. If you think that "Spy vs Spy" is too inappropriate, please let me know. I can always change it.
Interesting fact: The original art for the very first Spy vs Spy strip is owned by none other than director J J Abrams.
