If any of you have seen enough of the show Star Trek: The Next Generation, then you will know that the senior officers all liked to play poker. This scene specifically refers to the opening teaser for the episode "The Measure of a Man" from Season 2, where Commander William Riker (right), a notoriously good player, pulls a "bluff" on Lieutenant Commander Data (left). The android had a three of a kind while the first officer was threatening him with a flush. Data thus discovers that poker was as much about wit as it was about mathematics and statistics.
