Description
On the Powerpuff side of things, it's going to be primarily from the original 1998 series -- the one that was my favorite show as a kid. I don't know whether I should be honored or what to say that I watched the show during its original airtime (even recording a couple of episodes, like Meet the Beat-All's, on a videocassette tape - those were the days!). However, I do incorporate a little bit of the 2016 reboot into the plot -- a character that I have found to relate to immensely (SuperMurrio please don't say who it is yet).
I have heard a lot of mixed criticism on the reboot from users like Escarietson (mostly negative) and SuperMurrio (potentially positive) and how it apparently flies in the face of the original series' charm. I haven't seen the reboot, so I can't give much of an opinion myself.

"I have heard a lot of mixed criticism on the reboot from users like @Escarietson (mostly negative) and @SuperMurrio (potentially positive) and how it apparently flies in the face of the original series' charm."
Not only the charm was ruined but also the continuity was outright discarded, a major mistake given that it was marketed as a direct sequel to the original 1998 series. Case in point: Bliss's entire backstory was ridiculous and doesn't make 100% sense being centered around being discarded by the Professor in his attempts of making "three perfect girls". Professor Utonium never had a counterpart in the classic PPG series back before Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup were created. Not to mention that her backstory also implied racism with the aspect of being replaced by "superior white incarnates".
There were other continuity errors that also didn't sit well with the fans: such as Mojo Jojo mentioning having a mother in his life more than once, even though he didn't have a mother. The episodes "You're a Good Man, Mojo Jojo" depicts a pre-Chemical X Mojo as being calm and sweet, but his original origin story in the episode "Mr. Mojo's Rising" along with the 2002 prequel movie, his 1998 counterpart was a playful, jumpy, but destructive chimp whose rowdiness caused him to break the Chemical X vial and gave birth to the titular girls.
There were other major negatives to the 2016 series that didn't sit well with the fans, both old and new alike.
The JaredBloss ship (pedophilia + lolicon) that ultimately proved how they savagely mutilated Blossom's character into a slutty idiot of a selfish neat freak.
Everyone else's character was also messed up from not only to Bubbles and Buttercup, but also to the Professor and all the villains.
LGBT representation issues thanks to the transgender metaphor in "Horn, Sweet Horn".
Stereotypically offensive characters such as Bianca Bikini and Manboy, entrenchment of sexism.
Forsaking the original voice actresses of the girls without consultation.
Getting rid of Ms. Bellum.
Twerking in Painbow.
Flattening all the women's chests.
Firearm censorship (4Kids strikes again!)
Toned down violence during certain crime fighting scenes with the removal of blood and most of the hit impacts being censored by a hit flashes.
... and plenty more.
