1. If you were to wake up as opposite sex tomorrow, what would be the very first thing you'd do (save the probable panicing/confusion)?
A: Go back to sleep.

2. Do you have plan in case of zombieapocalypse? If yes, describe it shortly. If not, you really should start planning
A: Never thought of it. But I'd basically find a safe house and get ready truckloads of weapons to shoot/hack/burn/bomb them all LOL

3. What was the last book you read?
A: 9 Dragons by Michael Connelly.

4. Do you believe this all has purpose?
A: It's natural for humans to seek meaning and purposes in things around us.

5. When was the last time you went out to have picnic?
A: None.

6. When was the last time you smiled at the stranger in train/buss/tram?
A: It's a pain to smile when everyone is jostling you in a jam-packed bus/train.

7. What made you to join DA?
A: Because it is an art community and I wanted to have a place to share my artworks at that time (not that it has gotten any better).

8. Have you ever seen snow in real life? If so, do you catch the falling snow with your tongue? If not, would you like to?
A: Having come from a country where it's summer all year long, no. And I'd like to see snow one day! :3

9. What would you like to improve in your art?
A: Basically, finding a coloring style that suits me (still experimenting now). But I guess more importantly I need to find time to actually draw something LOL.

10. Are the tag games annoying you?
A: Nope~

11. What would you like to have with your tea?
A: A cup

[DA] A Note About My Works

Sad to say, most of my "artworks" here are all very old works. I have not been drawing for quite some time, however, I would love to pick up the pencil and digital coloring again soon! I am still learning and developing my own style, and  I sometimes try out new ways of coloring. Currently, I tend to do Anime/Manga-style artworks but I would love to learn and hone my skills in more realistic (but still with anime/manga-influence) works.  As I am still exploring, you might notice differences between works, but please bear with me as I learn!

:damphyr:  P H O T O G R A P H Y

The subject of my photography are my ABJD boys, though recently, I like using my nendoroid as subjects too! I sometimes play around in photoshop to learn and create different effects for the photos.  I am an amateur in photography so please bear with me. For a description about ABJDs and my dolls, please read Note About ABJDs.

Lately, I haven't been doing much website design and most of my older websites have been taken down as I have no time to maintain them. I will instead focus on Lawliet.NET and some other upcoming self projects.

[BJD] A Note About ABJDs

First thing first, the 'dolls' that are the subject of the photography in this gallery are known as Asian Ball-Jointed Dolls, or ABJDs for short. If you are keen to know more, you can find loads of information about these dolls on Den of Angels forum, including a list of BJD companies where you can get these dolls.

The dolls featured in the photographs here belong to me. I do not claim to make these dolls; I am just one of the many owner of these wonderful dolls. However, I customized and personalized the doll myself and the persona that they are created to represent are those of my original characters, unless otherwise stated (ie they are cosplay dolls).

So yes, ABJDs are highly customizable dolls and are usually personified by the owner. They are not "mere mass-produced toys" but collectibles that are "works of art". You can do a lot with a BJD and this include artistic pursuits like photography, story writing, painting and customization, modification, outfit-making and so, so, so on. In fact, they are like an outlet for creativity spanning across mediums.

And oh, did I mention? They also multiply like jackrabbits.

You read right, all my dolls are boys, at least for now~

And other than the cosplay dolls (e.g. L of Death Note), they represent characters of a fictional, but original, story of mine. However the storyline is nothing too specific yet as I am keeping the plot open for future dolls~ Each of the boys have a different story behind them, but a common thread binds them all together. Any similarity to any story or invidual (dead, living or otherwise in between) is purely coincidental.  You can read more about my dolls from my BJD blog.

I do edit my photos in Photoshop, like adding borders/watermark, brightness/contrast, etc. Occasionally, I play around in Photoshop to achieve different effects. Although I am still a photography amateur, my boys' photos are NOT stock images nor are they "free-for-all", so please do NOT use, edit or redistribute them without permission. If you would like to use them as reference or for other personal use, please do drop me a note on DA or even DOA. I'd love to take a look at your work.

Finally, if you have any questions, feel free to note me or drop a comment in my main page. This note will be updated as and when needed. ^^ Thank you.

[DA] A Note About 'Thank You's~

Journal Entry: Tue Sep 21, 2010, 1:03 AM

I used to personally drop a "thank you" to everyone who :+fav: a work of mine. Just thought I was being courteous.... until I started browsing for stamps earlier and realized that not everyone appreciate a "thank you" on their DA page as they might construe it as spamming! :omg:

Thus I think I will be moving from posting a thank you on individual pages to posting a thank you on each of my artwork description instead.

So starting effective today, for all those who have add a fav,

Thanks for Fav by iremnaz

And yeah, for every comments, llamas, etc~

[Stamp] Gratitude by Creepiest

Thank you! You've no idea how much they all mean to me! ::tighthug:

Meanwhile, I am still working on my project webby. And I have a *ahem* slight change in plan; I will be revamping a "little" of my BJD story and thus there will be a change in names, looks and character concepts for each of my boys. And so.... *ahem* I might be revamping my gallery yet again. :meow:
