I really like how liberal you were with your contrast in the skin here. I always think to myself, "More contrast!" and then as I sit down to paint it's always blend, blend blend.
That contrast, along with the runny water colors, give the impression of beauty in that careless manner that some people manage to possess. The birds in the collarbone (great touch!) make me think of an active imagination. Like one of those girls that is always caught up in creating things, never noticing the constant paint splotches on their skin or the charcoal smudges on their hands (or their nose!
). Those people who are terribly lovely in their enthusiasm for what they do, and who are unaware of how beautiful they are.
Anyway, those are my thoughts. Great piece!
