Plan of Attack - How to Slay Writer's Block
This is the simplest, most productive, and most rewarding method for attacking writing problems I know of. I developed this technique for myself, and I can only tell you that it works for me every time I use it. Will it work for you? Only you can tell. I can, however, guarantee that if you don't use it, it won't work.
This method is a general-use version. I have more specific versions for specialty uses that I will try to post later.
First, grab yourself a notebook and a pencil. Now, follow the steps below.
Step 1. Define the problem
Look at where you are stuck. Figure out why. Write it as a question at the top of your paper.
Suppose I am bogging down in the middle of a fight between two characters, Jenny and Mia.
