It’s hard to believe, but here we are - DeviantArt is officially 25. What an amazing, incredible, freaking journey! deviantART has always been the place where all creators - from the shy novice to the seasoned pro - can stand shoulder-to-shoulder and share their art, pixels mingling in a shared space. From humble beginnings as a small hub for Winamp skins and desktop tweaks, we grew into one of the largest and most diverse art communities on the internet. Chaotic at times, always inspiring, and never boring - all by design and intention . To say that 25 years is a long time for a website is an understatement. When we started in August 2000, the dot-com bubble was bursting, and most of the world was still on dial-up. I can continue down this fun memory lane, telling you that Blockbuster was still king with 9,000+ stores worldwide, and Netflix was still mailing DVDs (for our younger members, yes, there was a “movie rental” company prior to Netflix). People used pagers and PalmPilots

Turning 25 in internet years never looked so good, and it calls for more than just Cake. (More on this in a bit, though!) This is why you’re invited to a birthday bash for the ages! Dust off those old digital yearbooks and slip on your comfiest shoes as we stroll down memory lane. Some special events and birthday goodies await you just a few scrolls away! Scatter your signature far and wide Celebrate this huge milestone by leaving your mark on every corner of DeviantArt — specifically, by “signing” your favorite deviations and comments with badges. How? Hand out signatures like confetti with our free 25th Birthday Signature badge. The top 25 deviants who give the most badges will score limited-edition DeviantArt birthday swag! You can sign multiple badges on the same deviation or the same comment, but only the first signature badge on each counts towards the leaderboard. Badge-giving ends August 31st, 2025 (EOD). Winners will be announced on September 2nd, 2025 — so get
