The Cleric

The hero with a bad backstory.

Age: 46
Power: Biomagnetism or magnetokinetical ability.
Description of power: Magnetism is a form of interaction of moving electric charges, carried out at a distance by means of a magnetic field. Along with electricity, magnetism is one of the manifestations of electromagnetic interaction. 
James can strengthen the magnetic field of his body and then can attract different objects. it's often an iron objects (for any size, but not too big than his own). Sometimes it can be objects any material.

The story (of course, it's an example and it can be whatever you want):

Nicolas James Mcllroy is middle-aged businessman, dad and widower. He is 46 years old. Catholic. He owns some churches, like all persons in his bloodline and he deeply believes in the God and Saints.
His wife Anna died at birth of his daughter Amelia. She tried to stop hard illness for rest of her life. But no matter how many times they attended church, neither god, nor medicine helped her to stop it. The medicine still was hasn't any ideas about diagnosis to validate it and faith in God also didn't justify itself. She requested James to save life of their daughter and grow her up. She was afraid for all churches, which were created by he and she said her last words:
— Please, be strong, James. Take care Amelia well and don't forget about all your work. The churches give people faith in saints, give people faith in themselves. They need it and you too. Don't lose yourself and take care of all of it, James. I love you. " — she gave him her gold cross and left them...
James didn't sleep that night. He went in a bar of one of rich hotels next to his house. But, unfortunately, it was scuffle there and he was attacked by some drunk men. James blocked attacks from three of them and beat them by arms, but one man took the weapon and... Suddenly, the four bullets was stopped on the run. Unknown force blocked it and sent it back. Two man's legs and arms were cut off from the body. It was mythic James's magnetokinetical force. Same thing happened with him in his childhood, when he was about to die, but then his force hid in deep of his body... He didn't do something like that from his youth and it scared him! He left from hotel and run to the house...
Some months later James and Amelia settled in a new place - another State, which was far away enough from their first home . Amelia entered to school and  James started a new business projects, began to build new churches...
One day, Amelia didn't come back to home. Mcllroy decided to go in search of her. And when he was going down to the street, he heard screams of his daughter. It was some of men here..." from the gang of that bloody hotel..." — one of them said.  James saw what happened to his daughter. Men stripped her legs and arms, and then burned the cut points. The barely living child lay on the ground and groaned. This was the last straw...
The Jame's emotional barrier was broken and his force burst out. He lifted several metal fragments into the air and smashed the villain's heads. He took his daughter on his arms. Then he turned the offenders' bodies into a puzzle and stigmatized every detail with a cross...

Amelia has a prostheses for her limbs. It was created by James. They live together in very safely place near churches now. For a little girl, her father became a real hero.
Since then, in the daytime, he's a businessman and cleric, but in the night he's cold-blooded avenger-magnetokinetic, cleric who is praying for all of people and gives the hope for them and killer who seeks out members of that gang, other villains and cruel punishes them...

Клирик. Герой с плохим прошлым.

Джеймс Николас Макилрой – 46-ти летний крупный предприниматель в сфере бизнеса, а также любящий отец и вдовец. Католик. Как и весь род Макилроев, он также содержит несколько католических церквей и глубоко верует. Его жена умерла при родах, борясь с серьезным заболеванием, а до тех пор пара постоянно посещала церковь и молилась за ее здоровье. Увы, медицина не смогла даже подтвердить диагноз, а вера в бога не оправдала себя. Последними словами Анны стала просьба о том, чтобы Джеймс хорошо заботился о дочери, никогда не оставлял церкви и продолжал доверять всевышнему. Так Анна покинула его и малышку Амелию.

В ту ночь Джеймсу не спалось и он решил пойти в бар, в одном из ближайших отелей. Но, к несчастью, там произошла потасовка и на него напали – в рукопашном бою Джеймс осилил троих пьяниц, но один из них позже достал оружие и выстрелил в мужчину. Когда Макилрой открыл глаза, он обнаружил, что остановил все четыре пули в паре сантиметров от себя. Поднимаясь на ноги он, резко дернув руку, отправил пули в обратном направлении и они пролетели сквозь конечности двоих из зачинщиков. Находясь в состоянии аффекта, Джеймс вскочил и побежал в сторону выхода. Выбегая из здания, он взял такси и быстро уехал домой. Его магнитокинез дал о себе знать спустя 20 лет, когда он находился во второй раз на волосок от смерти.
Приехав домой, он собрал малышку, ее и свои вещи и улетел в соседний штат. Спустя год они обустроились на новом месте. Амелия пошла в школу, а Джеймс основал новую церковь. Дела шли хорошо, пока однажды дочку Макилроя не похитили…
Оказалось, по его душу приехала преступная банда, членов которой он случайно убил тогда, в отеле, и которая все это время искала его. Выйдя на след, они решили отнять у него самое дорогое – его единственную дочь. Когда Макилрой обнаружил, что девочки давно нет дома, он отправился ее искать и придя на место, он застал шестерых амбалов, издевающихся над его ребенком. Они отсекли ей ноги и руки, а затем прижгли места отсечения огнивом одного из мертвецов из отеля. Тогда Джеймс был в ярости. Его эмоциональный барьер был разрушен и он, читая молитвы, подняв ближайшие металлические предметы, направил их в обидчиков. Все шестеро были им хладнокровно убиты и расчленены, а на каждом из кусков, он оставлял печати в виде католического креста. Он забрал дочь и с тех пор не покидает ее. Он самостоятельно сконструировал для нее протезы и коляску и сейчас она живет в одной из самых крупнейших и защищенных церквей штата. Для нее он будто персонаж из комиксов – подобно Магнето или Дейзи «Скай» Джонсон, он стал самым настоящим супергероем для своей дочки.

С того дня в дневное время он – бизнесмен и священнослужитель, а ночью – хладнокровный мститель-магнетокинетик, клирик, молящийся за многих людей в этом мире, дарящий им надежду и убийца, выискивающий членов той банды и неверных, наказывающий их и освещающий их тела своими молитвами.

In fact, I was inspirited by "Unbreakable" and I think James could see the fight of Dann with criminals and scoundrels and inspirited to do something what change our world. So , hope you like it.
