P e r s o n a l i t y
Shy and very quiet around new people(female) but very sweet and friendly (and sometime act spoiled) toward close friends(female). She doesn’t have a lot of friends though, because she doesn’t trust people easily. But if someone managed to earn her trust, she’ll treasure them greatly; she’ll even sacrifice herself for that person’s sake.
She’s very cold and cruel toward guys. But she will interact with guys if she needed to.
She respects older people no matter what the gender is, as long as she’s not involved too much with them.
She’s happy if she can be useful for someone. Anyone. As long as she's useful. She'll try her best to be useful.
She’s not really good at expressing her own opinion.
She does her school works pretty well. She’s diligent and hardworking. She also like doing handicraft works.
She loves listening to music and sing. She can play piano a bit.
She’s a clean and neat freak. She’s good at cleaning and she can do it faster than anyone else.
She’s pretty clumsy with machine. The machinery that she’s most familiar with are her cell phone and vacuum cleaner.

H i s t o r y
Chiemi lived with her mom in Kirimori city. Her dad was a pianist and went away to pursue his dream even before Chiemi was born. Her mom always told her what a good man her father is, and asked her not to hate him. Her mom work part time every day to raise Chiemi. She was always tired, but she took a good care of Chiemi. She often sang Chiemi a lullaby. She went to the city to pursue her dream to be a singer, even though she’s failed, she had a beautiful voice. Chiemi really liked her mom’s voice, she herself dreamt to be a singer one day. Her mom taught her how to sing and a bit of music. Chiemi really loved her mom.
One night, there’s a big fire. Chiemi was saved, but her mom was severely burnt for protecting her. Not long after she died. Chiemi became traumatized by fire. Chiemi was only 5 years old when she lost her mom. In the funeral, she met her grandma, her mom’s mom. She’s the one that will take care of Chiemi from then on. After the funeral ended, she went with her grandma to the small town far from the city. Her dad never shows up in the funeral. This made Chiemi really really hate him.
Her grandma is a famous doll maker. Her grandpa already passed away, so she just lived together with her grandma (and some maids). Grandma hates men. Her marriage to grandpa was only a formality to save her family from poverty, and even after marriage grandpa always drunk and flirt with every woman he’d ever seen. She hates men even more after her daughter, Chiemi’s mom, was ‘stolen’ by a man. Chiemi was raised to hate men and her dad.
Her grandma was very strict and wanted everything goes as she wanted them to. Chiemi was raised to be an obedient girl, she did whatever her grandma told her to, because if she opposed, she will be confined in her grandma’s doll storage for 24 hours, and she’s really scared of those dolls.
When she went to primary school, she was bullied by the boys in her class because she looked just like a living Japanese doll (with pale skin and dark straight hair and always wear traditional clothes), this made her hate boys even more. The girls in her class were jealous because the boys paid a lot of attention to her (bully her) and they always badmouth about how she purposely act cute to attract the boys’ attention and all.
She stopped going to school for a while, she stayed at home (often in the doll storage room because she made her grandma mad by not going to school) and daydreaming all day. She likes the silence even though she hates the dolls, because at least when she closed her eyes the doll won’t say bad stuffs about her and bully her. She liked to sing her fear away too, with the songs her mom taught her.
Her grandma’s getting more and more famous and she started to open doll-making class, and she got busier and had less time to interact with Chiemi. Chiemi had more free time then, she liked to explore the house, one day she found her grandpa storage room, it’s like a treasure room and she liked to spend her time there. She found an antique iron fan (tessen) and she liked it, she played a lot with it. She was thinking of hurting the boys who bullied her with it, but she didn’t do it because she knew it’s not good. And grandma will punished her more for it.
One of her grandma’s students often played with Chiemi. Her name was Touko. She was bright and friendly. Chiemi liked her a lot. She feels like she has a big sister. Touko always wear thick make up, and dressed in Lolita fashion, grandma hate this, but Chiemi found it cute. From time to time Touko dressed her in this clothing too which made grandma really mad. The reason Touko studied how to make dolls because she loves making clothes, but she prefers making doll-sized clothes rather than real ones, so she also wanted to make her own dolls. And she loved dressing Chiemi up because she looked like a doll.
Touko encouraged Chiemi to go back to school, and taught Chiemi how to fight back. Chiemi started with wearing casual clothing and curl her hair to oppose her grandma (with Touko’s help of course) and she started to go to school again. She became bolder and crueler against those who bully her, and finally her classmates gave up and stop bullying her. She managed to befriend a few girls in her class too.
Everything went great for a few years, but suddenly on Chiemi’s 13th birthday, Touko disappear without any notice, her house was empty and her only family member, her little brother, was also gone. Chiemi was really sad when this happened, but then she remembered Touko always said that she want to go a big city like Kirimori city. So she decided to enroll in a school there. She was planning to go to a school far away from the town anyway, so to go to Kirimori was a perfect choice.

T r i v i a
-Despite being a granddaughter of a doll maker, she hate Japanese dolls. Because every time she opposed her grandma, she will be confined in her grandma’s dolls storage room for 24 hours… with all the creepy dolls.
-When she was confined, she liked to close her eyes sing her fears away. She has a beautiful voice like her mom.
-She curled her hair and always wears western clothing to oppose her grandma, who likes to dress her like the dolls she made.
-When someone mention about her height; if it’s a girl, she will sulk. if it’s a guy she’ll snap.
-She gets her eyebrows from her grandma.
