"Le parergon inscrit quelque chose qui vient en plus, extérieur au champ propre [...] mais dont l'extériorité transcendante ne vient jouer, jouxter, frôler, frotter, presser la limite elle-même et intervenir dans le dedans que dans la mesure où le dedans manque." - J. Derrida, La vérité en peinture, p. 65

I'm a big fan of collage and this is really good. I don't even know how to express why it strikes me, but it does. Good job!

I don't know a lot of terms to convey a deep comment, so I'll keep it simple. This is incredible!

Superbe cette composition, très géométrique avec de belles textures, l'espace central me fait penser à un passage vers un autre monde. =)

The sombre colours don't make it sad. The predominant feeling is of lightness and motion against a variety of notional urban backdrops.

It is as though several paintings or collages had been prepared and stuck down to a canvas, each time with a rectangular board or card coverign the centre which was lifted after each preation so that only the pieces and brush strokes which overlapped the edges remain in the finished work, which is now a palimpsest of what has been' left out' of several different works on the same teme. The eye is intrigued and the mind grasp frantically at meaning, or in search of enough clues to intuit the possible content of the missing rectangles; having been presnted only with an overlapping set of incomplete edges. And yet there is the undeniable sense in the work that it was deliberately assembled to give the sense or impression of this being the case without any removal of cards or boards or 'missing' imagery every having been involved or produced, as such.

very interesting one... :D
it reminded me instantly of an escher graphic "gravity" from 1952... in that one some sort of saurusses limitate the self - or one another... i often looked at that picture and thought how we limitate each other but hold each other at the same time... :D
