This year the challenge to draw every pose Senshi submitted was amped up with five sketches per week, compared to last year's three per week. I started a new job at the beginning of June and really wasn't sure if I'd be able to see the challenge through to the end, but I'm happy to report I managed it! Granted, a fair number of these sketches are pretty half-assed, but that's still better than nothing, right? And I came up with three finished pieces as well. OK, so one of them is a drawing, not a painting, and the two paintings are relatively simple fanarts with no backgrounds, but still. Yay me!
I guess the regular sketching habit I've gotten into in the past year has paid off, because none of this year's poses were complete nightmares to draw. Some were easier than others, of course, and if I'd put more time into some of them I'm sure they would've been trickier. There were several that I liked quite a bit, such as Below, Whoosh, Back and Above, which will hopefully turn up in future paintings.
Finished pieces for DEJ2:
Faerie Reel II fav.me/dbdo4yg
Moon II fav.me/dbe5446
