I must say that this is one of the most unusual and fantastic structures I have seen. While the beam of light shooting up the sky is used in architecture since the "cathedral" of infamous Albert Speer, your tower that is the 'base' for the beam is something especially well worth seeing in the landscape, regardless of technological era.

Usually, I never make only one version of a screen (I render 4, sometimes 10 images until I get the combination worth to post, the 2 Laser Towers were the best combinations)
I like this one most, is it done in Photoshop only or you used Bryce as well?
Made on Bryce (The laser is a glass cilinder with the sun behind, whai I made in Photoshop is a "Wand" selection then ripple it - with the "Screen", it looked like an energy blast 
)
