Oh that ancient, cyclopean city, that monstrous remnant atop forbidden, blasphemous Leng... what madness awaits us there?

Fantastic work - the tunnel entrance looks just like a gaping maw ready to consume the explorers whole!

This is a magnificent representation of the city of the Elder Things, very faithful to the story. Beautifully done.

Positively a stunning piece of work. The scale, the detail - the monstrous presence with the tiny figures almost invisible like ants. Gorgeous. Inspiring.

You ripped this off from Prometheus and the first Alien movie.

JUST KIDDING

It's the other way around. HP Lovecraft inspired the Alien movies, the The Thing movies, and any movie where BAD STUFF is discovered in Antarctica.

It's a fairly common theme now, but a strange guy had the original idea eighty years ago.

We owe A LOT to HP Lovecraft.

Oh wow that is great!
This is a very cool image.  The thing I like about it is that it is scaled correctly.  Compared to the Old Ones, humans are puny creatures, unable to threaten, or even understand, Lovecraft's characters.  The scaling reinforces just how alien these things are.

This looks awesome!

Enjoyed how you illustrated the story especially how the human characters are shown like just an afterthought to show how insignificant they are compared to the remains of the Old Ones

ivany86, I've been looking through your work - I'm just reading at the mountains of madness for the first time and googled it for fun - and I'm just stunned by your imagination and trueness to the story.
