Faced with the survival of humanity, scientists focusing on other habitable worlds and mankind just started to colonizing Mars. With the deploy of a skyhook tether momentum exchange system orbiting our planet, the coast of space travel has dropped dramatically. However, the majority of the world’s population remaining on earth, developing alternatives to survive.
Faced with the survival of humanity, scientists focusing on other habitable worlds and mankind just started to colonizing Mars. With the deploy of a skyhook tether momentum exchange system orbiting our planet, the coast of space travel has dropped dramatically. However, the majority of the world’s population remaining on earth, developing alternatives to survive.
More and more people living on artificial, floating islands, designed to withstand natural disasters like floods, tsunamis and hurricanes. These maritime cities offering home to tentohousends residents each and with their facilities they produce their own power with the force of the tide, wind and the energy of the sun. Greenhouses on top but also beneath the surface of the water, in large vertical farms, providing the residents with nutrition. Moored to the ocean floor, they create new artificial reefs. Habitats for a thriving underwater wildlife.
Only after countless critical climate catastrophes and relentless exploitation of natural resources, mankind has finally managed to live in harmony with nature.
