Please respect cultural differences and points of view, thanks
Well I make this stamp because in my country (Spain) asking for your adult kids to pay a rent to the parents, is really not a thing. In our culture is something very unrespectful to do because the kids help you with the house care but not paying the parents. Of course there are exceptions. I was horrified when I dicovered that in the UK is "the normal thing to do". I was honestly shocked and I can't understand that mentallity of wanting to ask to your own children their money. From my point of view, being a parent is a decision and the compromise of you wanting to raise, helping and take care of another human, so paying to your kids for what they need. I see it like them not teaching their kids about money or respect, but deliberately stopping them from saving up and moving out. I see it ok if everyone in the family can't have a job so money is really needed. But asking to your kids rent cause you want to end paying your new car...? I see that very wrong. But if the kids wants to pay their parents as a personal decision or to help them with it, that's different because is them who wants to help not the parents forcing them to give money.
I read comments about this on the internet and someone said "My parents don't make me pay rent because they love me" and someone else that said "I pay rent because I love my parents". Different points of view and cultures I guess... I agree more with the first one though. What about you?

I'm a Brit, and I pay board money to my parents every month (so I guess it's kinda like rent?). They only ask for £100 every month though, and I can always pay it back because I work part-time and get a disability benefit. We sometimes go skint in some months because we might have to spend a lot of money on something (for example, we renovated our kitchen and bathroom earlier this year), so my parents need extra money to cover groceries.
