So I saw the #ArtisanCraft Buttons
challenge way back and read some of the tutorials and thought that buttons would be a really cool thing to do. But I didn't get round to it at the time. Anyway, ~art-of-amie
was my secret Santa for #Artcrossing
and whilst I was brainstorming ideas to give her, one of the things I thought of was buttons because she makes so many things with fabric. And around the same time #ArtisanCraft
held a "The Challenge You Missed" challenge (here
) which gave me the extra impetus to go ahead with those buttons I'd been thinking about for ages.
Sadly I only had green, yellow and black Sharpies or I'd've done pink ones for Amie. But I tried to create lots of different quirky ones that she might like, which worked to varying degrees (personally I think the four Zentangle ones in the middle are my favourites).
I made her a pile of little gifts rather than one big gift for the secret Santa and I'll be submitting a combined deviation of all of them shortly. Just wanted to share the buttons for now.
I couldn't see a suitable gallery for these - if anyone has a better suggestion than Artisan Crafts - Other
, do let me know.
