seems to have covered the big stuff, and better yet he knows the characters' names. (Trust the long-time fans — I've been following your work for only a few weeks.) I think the highlight/shading of the foremost woman (glove girl, Dorothy?) isn't as refined as on the others. The white edges on our left are distracting as well as wobbly.
The composition itself is beautiful, with lots of fun beach activity and the visuals fill the other senses: the squawking of the birds, the feeling of the sand (being buried and also leftmost woman spilling it — why is she trying to hide it anyway?), the water, a few snacks. I love the far background style too with the summer haze, plus the dot-style woods (impressionism is it?) lend extra charm. The sailboat zipping along with little more than its keel in the water and the extra-narrow wake trail gave me a chuckle, but I think it's awesome.
