This is a collaboration with and by (Emily071), where I did the line art and Emily coloured it in. Since she initiated the collab, it's on her dA.
Here it is:
Featuring (with my own variant)Gonna try this, but I'm gonna add my own variant to this.
-The first 9 people to comment on this journal will get featured.
-I will choose between 3 to 5 deviations from their gallery, and tell why I like them.
-If you comment, please copy a blank version of this journal on your own page and feature me in the first slot.
^^^You need to do this one, pals, or you won't be featured here.^^^
-The idea is to spread art around, not to get free features.

Things to do beside collegeAbout a month ago I started college. Cool friends have been made after one week of the small world feels, and I'm doing alright so far. Well, that last part isn't exactly true.
I'll be honest, I thought I could do a lot of my own things while studying animation in college. Turns out that the opposite is true and that I have LESS time. I'm restricting myself to doing personal work on weekends, which is busy enough at home. The kid inside me is complaining about two things:
I haven't escaped essay writing and
3D is a bitch to work with.So yeah, college is a priority right now, and some of the things I promised to get done have been pushed aside. However, that doesn't mean I won't do these things. It'll just take time.
That being said, here's my progress on personal work that's vaguely worded:
I'm redoing part of a team project, and I've only got a few weekends to work on it.I'm not sure if I can pump out a really good animation for an art trade, but then again, I'm doing it because I can
Thoughts Pre-HSC Exams: Why?Prediction: F**k English, I may fail. General Maths, gonna perform well. IPT and Music, nyeh. Physics, I can up my game.
Why didn't I spend the three weeks in the holidays studying?
Why did I blow the chance to do better?
Why am I set up to believe in Murphy's Law: Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong?
Why can't I appreciate the people who care for me no matter what happens?
Why can't I shake the feeling that things will go wrong, no matter what?
Why am I not confident?
Why am I worried that my dad and one of my older cousins will be disappointed in me?
Why tell us our ranks are important, if you tell us they don't?
Why bother telling us that our ranks don't matter too much, when you focus more on why they do?
Why give us this contradictory loop of thought?
Why am I even worried, even though I know I'm doing all this for myself?
Well, whatever I do in those exams, I'll do myself, whether I succeed, or fail. Whatever success means.
50 Watchers: A comparison50 people. On a DeviantArt scale it's not much. But at my local level, it is.
If all 50 people came over for a party, all 50 would just have enough walking space inside and outside the house, twice as many as we had at one party at home.
At school, there are only 32 seats for all the students to sit in. We would need 2 classrooms to provide seats for you. But, we can all fit inside standing up.
50 people is a little more than a quarter the size of all of Year 12.
50 people is, in real life, a bit bigger than what I'm used to.
Discord? Exams? Art? Job?Sometimes I regret deleting Discord. Even though it's until exams are over (at the end of the month), I made some good friends there, and I can't talk to them until the month is over.
And speaking of exams, I've done nothing to study for it. I told myself I would, and I didn't deliver. Every time I pick up the pen, I can't handle it and just go off and do my own thing. I promised people I would, and I didn't. More importantly, I'm letting myself down. I don't know if it's too late. People are telling me my rank is important. Those same people tell me it's not. Who or what the fuck do I believe? Maybe it's not something I'll be worrying about later and then I can shelve this as cringe-worthy shit, but right now it's shaking me.
Also, it's cruel that a lot of art stuff that I genuinely want to do is done during this time. I really wanted to do Jazza's animation challenge. I really wanted to do Inktober. And I asked to be part of an art competition. I'm gonna have to drop it. Plus I have
is the person I stole this journal idea from. Man, it's like there's this long-lasting chain of thefts going on here.
Anyway, the rules are simple:
Comment on the journal if you want me to feature your artwork.
I sneak into your gallery and find four artworks I like.
I comment about them.
Then I'll kindly pass this journal onto you and you repeat steps 2 and 3 for my artworks.
A bit of a note: I'm sorry if I start to talk about myself when I feature your art. It's hard to talk about artworks without using my own skills as a reference point.
Anyways, onto the featurings!
Okay, right off the bat, your character is damn great! So far, my idea of "costuming" and fashion's only one recognisable outfit per person, and the designs are fairly simple. Looking at this, however, you've got a grasp on the sorts of clothes one would wear depending on the
This journal entry will change depending on when I am online or offline. Current and previous stream info will be left in this journal as well, just for archival purposes and will stop being updated if the journal becomes too long.

I'm Back (for a fleeting moment)That was an Olan Rogers reference.
Hey guys, or whoever will actually see this. There are certain people I hope will see this.
I graduated high school now! Well, the grade had a graduation ceremony. I still have final exams October 16-30 (which is why I deleted Discord for the time being) and I technically don't graduate until November 10, where I sign some forms, then I'm officially "cleared". Then there's the Year 12 Formal (Prom for any Americans) on November 15. Suit's all sorted out, though, no major spending, since I got a nice-looking blazer and shirt already.
Anyway, I've been studying for my final exams, or at least I've been trying to. It's hard not to get distracted by my brother playing Fallout 4 and pointing out mistakes he's making, even though I don't play it myself. I've also been applying for universities and colleges (passed the phone interview for one college, I will check more), and been applying for Casual Christmas jobs at Mum's request.
So I've been very quiet he
Let's go, fun time!By the order of :iconOtakuExtrodinare: I must:
1. Tell you something I learned about you by looking at your dA page for 20 seconds.
2. Tell you a color you remind me of.
3. Tell you what element I believe you belong to (e.g. water, fire, air, etc.).
4. Tell you what animal you remind me of.
5. Ask you a question, and you must answer.
6. Tell you something I like about you or your art.
Photography learning resources on InternetOne (and sometimes overlooked part) of developing yourself as a photographer is to study photography. "You can't learn to photograph by reading" is a half-truth, or at least understood wrongly quite often. While you need to photograph to learn to photograph, studying at least the basics is usually the best thing to do, especially at the beginning. This gives you strong foundation to build your skills. While books are a good source, Internet contains a wealth of knowledge for free.
Personally I started photography about a year ago from somewhat zero and I have found studying stuff from internet to be a great help, along with books and magazines. I've gathered here some websites that I've been using myself that I find beneficial or have found while trying to help other people and finding good links for them (I've been gathering these slowly during last year while learning myself). There are some basic guides and something a bit more advanced. Hope you can find something beneficial from h

I have seen many storms in my life. Most storms have caught me by surprise, so I had to learn very quickly to look further and understand that I am not capable of controlling the weather, to exercise the art of patience and to respect the fury of natur
Free Avatars: Goth and EmoWe put it to a vote, and according to this poll most people wanted us to feature dA's Goth & Emo avatars. This article features all of the FREE avatars submitted to the FreeAvatarProject during the month of March 2010. Other free avatars are included here also because they're fun works of 50x50 goth/emo art too!
About Stereotypes: Some stereotypes are little more than an exaggeration of a certain set of characteristics. They become kind of like cultural caricatures of an extreme type, often used in art as a sign of the times within society. This article is just for fun; please don't take the following generalizations too seriously. These features are meant to pay tribute to dA's Goth and Emo art and artists.
Background: In terms of both music and fashion, Emo and Goth are the subcultures that resulted from the Post-Punk Rockers in the 1970s. These modern day "punks" commonly seem to be misun

Why The Staff Is Wrong About TracingFriends at deviantART, here is the article that was part of the inspiration to create this club. Before you can understand this article you'll need to have read it.
While I have the utmost respect and appreciation for the job that the CEA team does, I was shocked, disgusted, and incredibly disappointed when I came across the aforementioned article. I've been a member of deviantART for quite some time and I remember the days before all this tracing nonsense was allowed.
Given recent events which I will not directly link to, but I'm sure many of you know what I'm talking about- it's hard for me to believe that the staff is still turning a blind eye to tracing, still letting this farce go on. In the past few months there have been several incidents related to tracing that have caused large stirs in deviantART, and I thought it would perhaps become clear that a lot of people are angry. It's not just a few people. Remember the uproar

It's been a while since my last "Go for it" Article so, I guess the time has come to create a new one.
Since mostly all my "Go for it" Articles are digital art related, this time I'm going for Stock Photos!
I hope you find the article useful for your needs!
#FAQ 217 What are "Stock Photos" and can I use "Stock Photos" in my submissions?</a>
