So, of course 2020 sucked, as everyone knows. Enough said, I guess. But there were some good things. For me, those usually have something to do with nature in general and moths, butterflies, and caterpillars in particular. Since I spent as much time away from other human beings as possible in 2020, I had plenty of lepidopteran encounters. I managed to observe and identify 243 species of moth, and there are many, many photos that I still need to go through, so its probably actually more like 300+ species. At least 88 of these were first time observations for me, which is pretty nice. I observed 47 species of butterflies, 7 of which were new to me, making this the best butterfly year for me in a long time. I also raised 50 monarchs, 5 spicebush swallowtails, 3 viceroys, a red spotted purple, a copper underwing moth, and a milkweed tussock moth. I bought one successfully eclosed Luna moth as well. I also saw a nice variety of mammals this year including deer, rabbits, muskrats

I really have no idea where the last two years went. Life, I guess. Anyway, uploading all these tons of older photos really makes me realize - I have seen some cool stuff : )

Obviously, moths, butterflies, and caterpillars are kind of a thing for me these days. This year I raised +100 moths and butterflies and also took up a near nightly ritual of mothing, so I will gradually be adding a lot more photographs of this kind of thing. I hope it doesn't get too boring!

Hello Isobelle,
Thank you so much for adding me to your watch list, and for ALL the Faves...I really appreciated it when others enjoy my work.
prolly not done with the faves, but I had to stop at the moment. SOOOOOO many excellent caterpillars.
Hi, Thank you once again,
just wait till you view the butterflies and dragonflies folders....I know you'll like those as well!
Three lizards climbed up a hill. They got altitude sickness. It made a good mini-series.
Catapillas? Ooooooo, my goooooodness!!
