Yesterday we spent almost the whole day on the camping site so my parent could do a cleanup in the camper trailer, and since weather was nice, I brought my sketchbook and pencils and did some Yoshi sketch.
I sketched two drawing in total and this one is the second out of two.
I had this idea for a little while, and this is inspired by the way my cat behaves when held. Some cats are as straight as an iron pole while other cats look like they have no spine. Luna, my 15 months old black cat, is in the second category. When we try to grab her, she lets herself fall on the side and loses all of her tonus, and when we hold her in our arms, she lets her hind legs and head hang as if she was a pile of rag.
And no, she isn't a ragdoll. She's a casual domestic shorthair adopted from a shelter and this 9.5 pounds of house panther has a slender frame and looks like she won't get fat, as she has nothing of a gluttonous kitty like Lily was.
So I drew my Yoshisona, holding my cat like I do, and I drew Luna as how she lets everything hang as if she's going to "flow" to the ground, except her forelegs that are pointing straight as if no effort was needed, and her tail that's always kept with a ?-like curve.
