When it comes to a frontal or side view of scenery, I far prefer panoramic shot over wide-angle lens effect -- which distorts the view and tends to blur the sides :(

It's too bad, this place looks beautiful but it's spoiled :(


Only times when I think wide-angle might work well :
- taking a shot bottom-up, looking with a 70° to 90° lead angle
- taking a shot top-down, looking with a -70° to -90° lead angle
Aside that, a simple plain shot with normal lens works always better.
